摘要
Deep eutectic solvent (DES) is a homogeneous mixture formed by two or more compounds in a certain mole ratio, usually formed by the complexation of hydrogen bond receptor (HBA) and hydrogen bond donor (HBD) or metal salts. DES has the advantages of low melting point, good biodegradability, biocompatibility, low toxicity and reusability, and hence has been widely used in biomass processing, pharmaceutical engineering and biotransformation as a “green solvent” in recent years. In this study, DES consisting of choline chloride (ChCl) and lactic acid (La) was synthesized and applied to extract chitin from crayfish shells. The effects of molar ratio of ChCl to La, mass ratio of DES to crayfish shell, microwave reaction temperature and time on the yield and purity of chitin were studied. Compared with the traditional heating method together with using strong acids and bases to extract chitin, microwave-assisted DES to extract chitin will not harm the environment, and the reaction time of microwave heating is shorter, which is benefit for reducing energy consumption and saving cost.
