In order to comprehensively improve the
firefighter's proficiency in handling high-rise building fire
accidents and emergency rescue and treatment ability, and
increase the immersion and experience of virtual reality
training, a set of mechanical arm simulation training systems
based on Steam VR was designed. Unity3D engine combined
with VIVE head-mounted display to construct and present the
virtual reality high-rise building fire scene. Angle sensor, signal
conversion circuit board and other hardware were used to
collect and transmit the Angle signal of the semi-physical
manipulator controller model. Use Visual Studio Professional
to edit the C# scripting language to interact with the Steam VR
scene. The feedback shows that using the semi-physical robot
arm controller model for interactive training can greatly
improve the immersion and experience of the trainees, and
enhance their ability to use the fire platform vehicle robot arm
for rescue.
