                摘要
The outward transport of Bohai sediment across the Bohai Strait is a key issue in the transport of sediments on the continental shelf. Based on remote sensing data and numerical simulation results, the process of transporting Bohai sediments to the open sea in winter is not continuous, the surface and bottom layer are two different processes. Further analysis showed that the influence of different wind directions in winter produced a stratification of different intensities, which dominated the vertical diffusion of the sediment. This shows that the surface and bottom are different dynamic mechanism. During strong northwest winds, suspended sediments from Bohai Sea can be transported along the mouth of Laizhou Bay and across the straits via the south of Bohai Strait, and when the wind direction changes to northeast winds, a larger thermohaline gradient creates a stronger stratification that inhibits the diffusion of the underlying sediment. Stratification of different intensities can affect sediment transport, which makes up for the limitations of sediment transport mechanism in Bohai Sea, and proposes a new dynamic mechanism, which is of great significance for global scale offshore sediment transport.
