摘要
Chemical weathering alters the chemical compositions of the lithosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere, in particular, sustaining a habitable geo-history CO2 concentration. Cation release is the main feature of chemical weathering, together with measurable cation isotopes recently available provided high-dimensional information of weathering rate, flux, and intensity. However, due to the unique geochemical behavior of each cation, enables every cation a certain tractability for chemical weathering. Therefore, we let Li isotopes indicate temperature dependency, Mg isotopes trace secondary aluminosilicate and carbonate precipitation, K isotopes trace silicate weathering intensity, Sr isotope trace sources of weathering, and Ba isotopes trace riverine adsorption processes. So as to comprehensively understanding chemical weathering.
