Due to its low cultivation cost and abundant production of high value products such as exopolysaccharide (EPS), peptides, and pigments, Porphyridium sp. is currently one of the key algae species in microalgae research. This experiment used Porphyridium sp. with high EPS production as the experimental species to study the resource utilization of Porphyridium sp. in high ammonia pickled water. Adopting moderate aeration technology to treat high ammonia salted water in food, reducing the inhibition of high ammonia concentration on microalgae growth, controlling aeration time appropriately to reduce energy consumption, and coupling experiments with cultivation of Porphyridium sp. rich in EPS. This culture method eliminates the resource input in the traditional nitrogen removal process, and avoids the waste of nitrogen resources. The treated high ammonia pickled waterlogged water is used as a cheap culture medium for the growth of Porphyridium sp., reducing the culture cost. In order to further increase the EPS production of Porphyridium sp., a high-voltage pulsed electric field was used to stimulate its secretion of EPS, providing a reference for promoting the industrial production of Porphyridium sp. EPS.
