Purpose Based on EAP's crisis intervention work with over 300 service clients, it has been found that the proportion of EAP's crisis risk personnel to the total number of employees in enterprises is: 0.018 per 100,000 in 2021, 0.049 per 100,000 in 2022, and 0.084 per 100,000 in 2023, showing an upward trend. A crisis, once occurred, can bring significant risks and losses to the enterprise, hence the importance placed by enterprises on crisis prevention and intervention. EAP is an EAP company that provides comprehensive psychological support to Chinese enterprises, offering crisis prevention and intervention services to over 300 enterprises for 22 years.



Methods: In 2024, EAP handled 545 risk cases, among which 137 were discovered by AI Treehole, 20 were found after psychological tests and interviews, and 388 were identified during psychological counseling. After discovering a crisis, EAP promotes continuous appointments for psychological counseling for employees. Psychologists conduct crisis assessments during each session, focus on current crisis risks, identify positive psychological resources, and carry out psychological counseling through cognitive-behavioral therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, humanistic therapy, etc., and make safety plans with employees. EAP, after discovering a crisis and with the employees' informed consent, communicates with enterprise managers and employee families to form a crisis intervention support network to provide assistance to employees.



Enterprises focus on regularly caring for employees based on their work situation and needs, adjusting work content and intensity, and providing corresponding sick leave and rest periods. Families focus on caring for and loving employees, accompanying them to medical appointments, follow-ups, and medication.



EAP follows up with employees at intervals of once a week, then gradually increases the time interval after the situation stabilizes. The crisis risk can be lifted and follow-up stopped one month after the crisis situation is alleviated.



Conclusion: This method can significantly reduce the incidence of corporate crises. Out of 545 crisis cases, 520 have now been transformed into risk-free cases and closed.
