Esculin (ESC) is a herbal extract with antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects, but its drawbacks, such as low solubility in general solution and severe first-pass effect, have limited its application in clinical practice.Therefore, it was encapsulated in a hydrogel with controlled-release effect, thus reducing the number of administration, avoiding the secondary injury to animals caused by repeated stimulation, improving animal welfare, and providing theoretical basis and guiding value for heptaphylloside in the treatment of endometrial inflammatory injury.
