摘要
This paper addresses the urgent demand for an efficient and high-power-density electric propulsion system in the aircraft hybrid-electric propulsion (HEP) and conducts a research on the design of a medium-voltage and high-power inverter based on SiC. This paper covers a 1 MW, 1.2 kV medium-voltage and high-power three-level (3-L) NPC inverter based on SiC MOSFETs from the topology selection, thermal and structural design and control strategy. For the multi-parallel inverters, the carriers synchronization and neutral point (NP) voltage balancing control strategy are discussed. Finally, the loss simulation conducted in PLECS indicates that the efficiency of the inverter can reach 99.34% under the rated conditions and the control simulation in MATLAB/Simulink provides a reliable basis for the subsequent prototype testing.
