On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I am very pleased to invite you to the 6th Symposium PAIN in the BALTICS 2017 to be held in Kaunas, Lithuania, April 28-29, 2017.
Kaunas is beautiful city, situated in the central part of Lithuania, heart of the country. The confluence of two biggest rivers, Nemunas and Neris, and the Castle in between, reminds us of magnificent history that brings us back to ancient times. The venue of our meeting is ZALGIRIS arena, the biggest in the Baltics sports and events centre which is erected on an island of Nemunas. The symposium will provide you with the nice opportunity to meet colleagues, enjoy historical places of Kaunas, and find out important pain medicine updates.
The symposium PAIN in the BALTICS 2017 to be one of the bigest next year pain medicine events, endorsed by European Pain Federation (EFIC). The scientific program promises to be attractive, offering recent updates basic science and pain management presented by world known invited speakers. The educational program will consists of plenary lectures, topical seminars, poster presentations session. It will cover pain mechanisms and novel treatments, current trends in pharmacotherapy, invasive techniques for effective pain control.

All abstracts should contain the title, full names and workplace of the author(s), city, country and email address.
Text of the abstract, including the title and all information about the author(s), should not exceed 5000 letters.
Please, structure your abstract as follows:
Use standard abbreviation where appropriate, unusual abbreviation should be presented in brackets after the full term as used for the first time in the text. All abstracts will be reviewed. Accepted abstracts will be selected for short oral presentation or poster presentation and published in electronic format. Accepted abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted, please check carefully for typing errors. Detailed instructions for presentation will be sent after acceptance.
Accepted abstracts will be published in the special issue of the Lithuanian pain medicine journal “Skausmo medicina”. The selected authors will be invited to present a report at short communications session and refunded for registration.
All accepted abstracts will participate in the poster session. Authors of the best posters will be nominated and prizes awarded.
