Symposium on Water Chemistry and Corrosion in Nuclear Power plants in Asia - 2017 (AWC 2017) & 5th International Symposium on Materials and Reliability in Nuclear Power Plants (5th MRNPP) organized by the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS) is scheduled to be held on 26-28th September 2017 in the Hilton Hotel (Doubletree), Shenyang, P.R. China. As the host of the symposium, we warmly welcome you to join the above meetings together.
The AWC symposium is held every two years alternately in Japan, S. Korea, Taiwan, India, and China. The objectives of this symposium are to exchange technical information, operational experiences, and latest research findings among engineers and researchers of utilities, vendors, research institutes and universities and to enhance the international cooperation in the fields of reactor water chemistry and material corrosion in nuclear power plants.
The MRNPP symposium is also held every two years by China Nuclear Energy Association and IMR, CAS in order to enhance the cooperation between China and other countries, also promote research and development of nuclear materials to ensure the safety and reliability of nuclear power plants. This symposium has been successfully held in Shenyang in 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015.
The 3rd Asian Forum on Material Aging Issues in Nuclear System (3rd AF_MAINS) will also take place during the above symposiums since the previous two forums were successfully held in Korea and India.
