The 8th edition of the New Perspectives in Science Education Conference will take place in Florence, Italy, on 21 - 22 March 2019.
The objective of the Conference is to promote transnational cooperation and share good practice in the field of innovation for science education. The New Perspectives in Science Education Conference is also an excellent opportunity for the presentation of previous and current projects in the science field.

• 14 January 2019: Last Extended Deadline for submitting abstracts
• 18 January 2019: Notification of abstracts’ acceptance / rejection
• 21 January 2019: Deadline for papers’ submission
• 21-22 March 2019: Conference days

The Call for Papers is addressed to teachers, researchers and experts in the field of science education as well as to coordinators of science and training projects. Experts in the field of science teaching and learning are therefore invited to submit an abstract of a paper to be presented during the conference.
There will be three presentation modalities: oral, poster and virtual presentations.
All accepted papers will be included in the Conference Proceedings published by Filodiritto Editore with ISBN and ISSN codes. This publication will be sent to be reviewed for inclusion in Conference Proceedings Citation Index by Thomson Reuters (ISI-Clarivate). The publication will also be included in Academia.edu and indexed in Google Scholar.

The text of the abstract should be maximum of 450 words (including keywords and references) and written in italicized text, using Arial 10-point. The paragraph should be fully justified. Please leave two blank lines after the abstract, then begin the main text.
Keywords: Please indicate from 2 to 6 keywords [Arial, 10 point, bold]
The main body of the text should be written using the Arial font and single spacing with 10-point interlining spacing. The text should be fully justified. Please do not place any additional blank lines between paragraphs.
All margins should be set at 2.5 cm
The citation number of bibliographical references must be provided in square brackets, for example [1].
A list of references should be provided at the end of the paper.
Figures, tables and graphics should be centred, numbered and accompanied by a legend. (Fig.1. Legend, Table 1. Legend). Where possible, Arial 10-point should be used for all figures, tables and graphics
Please, avoid using page numbers, headers and footnotes.
1. First-order headings
First order heading, for example, “1. Introduction”, should be Arial 12-point boldface, initially capitalized
1.2 Second-order headings
Second order heading should be Arial 11-point boldface, initially capitalized
