It is greatest pleasure to announce the 12th International Conference on Culture and Creativity (ICCC), which will be held on 17th-18th November 2017 in Kaunas, Lithuania. This bi-annual scientific conference invites scholars for a discussion about culture and creativity in various professional fields such as management, marketing, branding, communication, education and policy.
The ICCC has the ambition to advance the state of art and promote new ideas and proposals on the major challenges faced by culture and creativity today in Europe and beyond: management, entrepreneurship, new business models, evaluation, and their internationalization, communication, education and cultivation of creativity. The conference seeks to promote networking among academics, researchers, professionals and representatives and welcomes all scholars and professionals as well as students who are interested in creative/cultural industries, creative city theories and practices, arts and culture management and marketing participate.
As in previous events, there is honour guest to talk in conference. The key-speaker of this year is Dr. TOM FLEMING (United Kingdom) – leading international expert on the creative economy, cultural and arts policy and creative cities and regions. His work focuses on advising governments, municipalities and institutions across the world to develop effective research, policy, strategy and action across the creative economy. He has led strategic research projects in every region, with a particularly strong track record all over the world. He has experience working with such organisations as The World Bank, UNESCO, European Commission, British Council as well as multiple governments, municipalities, cultural and educational organisations and NGOs.
The Chairperson of this conference will be Prof. DOROTA SIEMIENIECKA, Vice Dean in charge of scientific research and international cooperation at the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences in Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruń in Poland. She is member of Polish Pedagogical Association and main editor of scientific journal Cognitive Science- New Media- Education.
Her scientific interest, research and didactic activity focus on the issues of creativity in pedagogy, creative teaching, on applications of modern media in the process of education, as well as on cognitivist aspects of media in education. She is the author and co-editor of several books on media, ICT, education and communication.
