Optimization is at the heart of many real world problems in various fields ranging from scientific research to industry and commerce. To tackle complex real world problems, experts have been looking into natural processes and creatures for years. Over the last years, nature-inspired search techniques and optimization algorithms have been became the subject of many researches and currently are used in various field of science, ranging from scientific research to industry and commerce. The two main families of algorithms that primarily constitute this field today are the evolutionary computing methods and the swarm intelligence algorithms. Many heuristic algorithms in each group are invented where each one has its own distinguishing features. Furthermore, encountering various problems, algorithms are enhanced by offering different strategies including inventing different variants, producing specialized operators, co-evolution, hybridization, dynamic controlling, and so on. 3rd Conference on Swarm Intelligence and Evolutionary Computation (CSIEC2018) is an opportunity for researchers to share their contemporary knowledge in the field of nature-inspired intelligent computation based on the principles of swarm and evolutionary algorithms. The conference welcomes significant contributions in both English and Farsi languages.

CSIEC2018 is organized by Higher Education Complex of Bam from 6-8 March, 2018. Contributions are invited for regular presentations and poster sessions. The venue of Conference will be at Faculty of Engineering of Higher Education Complex of Bam, Bam, Iran.
Some outstanding papers will have the opportunity to recommend to the high-quality Journals after the meeting. I am sure that your involvement in the conference will indeed enhance the quality and originality of the articles presented to this forum.
