The School of Networks and Systems SSN 2018 , organized by the NIC Chile Research Labs, will be held from October 29 to 31, 2018 at the Universidad Austral de Chile, in Valdivia, Chile. In its fourth version, the SSN this year focuses its lectures, classes and tutorials on the theme "this IS rocket science" , to address the current advances in the area of space exploration from a perspective of communication networks, data management, new technologies for the Internet, and computer systems that have contributed to these advances. The talks and tutorials will be presented by exponents of world class, both from the academy and the industry.

The School of Networks and Systems SSN 2018 , organized by the NIC Chile Research Labs, will be held from October 29 to 31, 2018 at the Universidad Austral de Chile, in Valdivia, Chile. In its fourth version, the SSN this year focuses its lectures, classes and tutorials on the theme "this IS rocket science" , to address the current advances in the area of space exploration from a perspective of communication networks, data management, new technologies for the Internet, and computer systems that have contributed to these advances. The talks and tutorials will be presented by exponents of world class, both from the academy and the industry.
The SSN is aimed at doctoral or master's degree students, as well as advanced undergraduate or junior researchers who work in areas of computer networks, communications, telematics and related. We invite the sending of extended abstracts for poster presentations, which correspond to original unpublished works, either related to the theme of the School (space exploration) or to thesis topics or general research work in the area of computer networks, telecommunications , distributed systems, security and privacy in networks and computing, among others.
Submission Guidelines
Accepted works in extended summary format of maximum 3 pages. The extended summaries can be in Spanish or Portuguese (with the title and abstract in English), or in its entirety in English. It is very important that the article be sent without the information of its authors or affiliations in the PDF . The manuscript should follow the double column template of CEUR-WS (use file Latex.sty ).
Accepted papers will be published in CEUR-Worskhop Proceedings (indexed in Scopus , authors keep the copyright) and will be presented in poster format during the School. The best works will also be invited to present themselves as a paper (in addition to the poster). All authors with accepted papers should also send the URL of a video of at most 1 minute explaining their research topic.
Authors requiring assistance assistance (registration grant, travel grant, or full scholarship) should mark the type of assistance requested through the form provided in the job submission system.
