On behalf of the organizers of ICAME 2019, the International Conference on the Applications of the Mössbauer Effect, we are pleased to extend you a cordial invitation to participate at this distinguished event to be held in Dalian, China 1–6 September 2019 (http://icame2019.csp.escience.cn ). The conference is organized by the Mössbauer Effect Data Center (MEDC), Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Synfuels China Co. Ltd. and the Guangxi Normal University.
ICAME is the series of biennial conferences of Mössbauer spectroscopists as well as of scientists and student using or interested in the applications of the Mössbauer effect in basic research, technological development and industrial applications. Mössbauer spectroscopy is widely used in solid-sate physics, materials sciences, chemistry, life sciences including medical applications, earth sciences, archaeology, environmental sciences, space researches and many other fields. The ICAME series dates back to the sixties of the last century, till today ICAME has successfully held 34 sessions, the 21st ICAME was in Nanjing, China in 1991. The ICAME’s last four conferences have been held in Kobe, Japan (2011), Opatija, Croatia (2013), Hamburg, Germany (2015) and Saint Petersburg, Russia (2017), respectively. This time, 35 th ICAME will be held in Dalian, called the pearl of Northern China. The convenient location of Dalian will allow participants to get it by airplane, train, bus or ships. The ICAME will be held at the DICP’s Convention Center, located conveniently on the DICP campus and well equipped for hosting large events.
ICAME 2019 will be open to all experts, researchers, students, and engineers from all over the world, with the interests in the recent developments in the fields of Mössbauer spectroscopy. This latter term is used in a broad sense comprising conventional laboratory techniques and related methods such as nuclear resonance scattering of synchrotron radiation, inelastic nuclear scattering of synchrotron radiation, analytical and theoretical studies, etc.
The main scientific programme of the conference will consist of invited lectures, oral and poster presentations preceded by a half-day tutorial course for students and young scientists. All scientific contributions will be selected by the International Programme Committee in a fair and transparent process. IBAME, the International Board on the Applications of the Mössbauer Effect will serve as the International Advisory Committee of ICAME 2019. The conference programme will start with the tutorial lectures on Sunday, 1 September at 1 :30 pm and will run until Friday, 6 September 12:30 noon. An excursion is planned for Wednesday, 4 September afternoon.
Dalian, a harbour city in north-eastern China, is located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. It has a good geographic location with a mountainous panoramic beauty encircled by beaches, adding more charm to this city.
