Advances in architectures, networks, systems and middleware technologies are leading to new concepts and platforms for computing, ranging from Clusters and Grids to Clouds and Datacenters, and result in an outstanding impact to numerous aspects of the modern world. The 19th Annual IEEE/ACM International Symposium in Cluster, Cloud, and Grid Computing (CCGrid 2019) is a forum bringing together international researchers, developers, and practitioners to present leading research activities and results on a broad range of topics related to these concepts, platforms, and their applications. The conference features keynotes, technical presentations, workshops, and posters, as well as the Doctoral Symposium and the SCALE challenge featuring live demonstrations. CCGrid has travelled over the world. Its next stop is in beautiful Larnaca, Cyprus, in May 2019.
The Republic of Cyprus is a European Union member state and a major financial, business, tourist, and educational hub in the Eastern Mediterranean. For millennials, Cyprus has been at the cross-roads of major civilizations. At present times, it combines a modern European culture with ancient enchantment and world-class tourist and archaeological attractions. One of the safest countries in the world, Cyprus epitomizes the ideal weather of the Mediterranean with sunny days and fine temperatures almost every day throughout the year. Larnaca, the city where CCGrid 2019 will take place, is the location of the island’s major international airport with daily direct connections to major hubs (Athens, London, Vienna, Tel Aviv, Cairo, Dubai, Abu Dhabi etc.). Larnaca features blue-flag beaches and seaside promenades, a modern marina, and various archaeological attractions with Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman antiquities.
