On behalf of the conference organizing committee, it gives us a great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 22nd edition of the International Middle East Power Systems Conference (MEPCON) being hosted by Assiut University in Egypt during the period 14-16 December 2021.

The conference provides a unique forum for researchers at universities and research institutions, engineers in electrical utilities and industrial firms and world-wide known specialists to present state of the art findings in the area of electrical power engineering and other related disciplines.

In 1989, MEPCON has been jointly-organized by Cairo and Assiut Universities in Egypt. In 1992, 1996 and 2009, Assiut University hosted the conference that was held in Assiut, Luxor and Assiut cities, respectively. It is now the fifth turn for Assiut University to host the conference in 2021. During the last three decades, MEPCON is known as the greatest electrical power engineering event in Egypt and Middle East region.

Your contribution by submitting papers, your attendance in conference sessions and your participation in organizing panel discussions and workshops will enrich a successful MEPCON2021 that will be held in Assiut city, the capital of Upper Egypt.
