The Gordon Research Seminar on Plant Lipids: Structure, Metabolism & Function is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.
The focus of this meeting is both basic and applied research on structural, storage, signaling, and nutritional lipids, including state-of-the-art approaches in lipid research (genetics, lipidomics, lipid visualization, and lipid engineering for industrial purposes). The Career Panel will feature leading scientists in plant lipid research, Katayoon Dehesh (University of California - Davis), Dean DellaPenna (Michigan State University), and Glenda Gillaspy (Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University), who will lead a discussion of mentorship.
