Tuesday, August 26th, 2014 in Karlskrona, Sweden at RE'14 (Aug 25th-29th), Submission deadline April 21st, Contact Research has started investigating the support of sustainability within systems and software engineering and there is only one research workshop in requirements engineering: RE4SuSy (Requirements Engineering for Sustainable Systems). This workshop is concerned with why and how social and environmental sustainability impact RE practices. We welcome short papers, posters, video clips, and other multi-media formats on this topic. In particular, themes include understanding RE4SuSy; adapting/inventing RE4SuSy techniques and tools; modeling, defining, measuring, and assessing sustainability in RE. We are open to any bit of research that will let us understand better how to design more sustainable systems. As in the last editions, we plan an interactive workshop that engages with authors well before the deadlines and that produces new results already during the workshop. This is also the take-off point for new collaborations between participants, which will be explicitly facilitated at the workshop. The workshop will be facilitated for efficient collaborative and creative work.
