The CCACC series have been held in turn between China and Canada since the first two conferences that were successfully held at the University of Alberta in 2007, and at Peking University in 2009. Subsequently, the third and fourth conferences were held respectively in Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto in 2011, and Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics in 2013.

The CCACC2016 is intended to stimulate discussions on the forefront of researches in Analytical Chemistry and for international cooperation. This conference will focus on the theme of analytical chemistry for improving the quality of human life. Diverse topics include bioanalytical chemistry, biomedical and pharmaceutical analysis,environmental analysis, food safety control, proteomics and metabolomics, new analytical technologies and methods applied to life sciences.

Professor Hongyuan Chen (Nanjing University, Nanjing, PR China), Professor X. Chris Le (University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada), and Professor Qiankun Zhuang (National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing, PR China) act as the conference chairs. Professor Jonathan Sweedler, University of Illinois, USA, and Professor Norman Dovichi, University of Notre Dame, USA, will present plenary lectures in the conference.
