The Knowledge Economy and Society worldview has evolved over the last twenty years into a major theory, policy and practice framework concerning the social, economic and political dimensions of country development dynamics. Substantial progress in academic research as well as practice-focused projects has revealed the power and effectiveness of applying Knowledge Economy and Society thinking and concepts in interventions concerning human and intellectual capital development, cultural and societal as well as organizational transformation, and environmental remediation and protection.  

Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, PAAET, the largest academic institution in Kuwait, is organizing Heading Global 2016 to enhance the research areas in the fields of Knowledge Economy and Society and strengthen the connection between industry and academia. We believe that Education, Training and Development constitute the core enablers of qualified and skilled human resources in critical fields for the nation’s development.

The vision of Heading Global 2016 is to organize and deliver a dynamic conference contributing effectively to the advancement of the Kuwaiti Knowledge Economy and Society including theories, policies and practices promoting smart sustainable and inclusive growth. The mission of Heading Global 2016 is to harness the knowledge, experience, expertise and talent of key Knowledge Economy and Society stakeholders to address critical challenges, identify emerging opportunities and help formulate and implement successful smart sustainable and inclusive growth strategies, policies and practices.
