Previous Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga (NPM) conferences have been held in Auckland to wide acclaim - highlighting not only our mutual indigeneity, but also the multidisciplinary approach that is essential for indigenous development.
In these conferences national and international speakers and keynotes have presented talks on subjects as wide ranging as economic well being, indigenous distinctiveness, knowledge creation, research capability and indigenous transformation - as well as addressing the important issues and solutions that can ensure healthy and thriving families, communities and tribal nations.
Here at NPM we are interested in identifying what the bridge might be between indigenous research and positive change in our communities, investigating how we can ensure that the outcomes and benefitsof our research do get into the hands of those who can make and sustain change.
