The number of devices connected to the Internet is always growing with increasing requirements coming from new applications and services introduced to users. To meet the demands beyond 2020, new concepts and design approaches are needed, and must be integrated into systems that provide the necessary flexibility, versatility and scalability at low cost and low energy consumption. To provide such systems, a technology roadmap for next generation networks is collectively referred to as “5G”. But some of the proposal can be considered as aiming at a target beyond. The purpose of this track is to bring together researchers, engineers, and students from academia and industry, to discuss, share their experiences and exchange new ideas about theoretical and practical aspects of 5G and Beyond from physical layer up to innovative applications.
We solicit original and unpublished research in this area, including, but not limited to, the following topics:
Efficient air interfaces (low signaling overhead, energy consumption,…)
Interference metrics, measurements and management
Spectrum use, spectrum sharing models, spectrum measurement
Advanced channel models for 5G characterization
Demonstration of 5G systems
