The Gordon Research Seminar on Cilia, Mucus, and Mucociliary Interactions will provide a unique and engaging forum for graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and trainees from around the world to present their novel research, learn from the work of others, and to establish new relationships and collaborations.
Mucus, cilia and their interactions fulfill important vital functions, such as critical airway defense in the respiratory tract. Additionally, mucus, cilia, and/or their interactions also play necessary roles in diverse organ systems including the gastrointestinal tract, the reproductive tract, and the brain. This first-time GRS seeks to bring together aspiring scientists engaging in research related to cilia, mucus, and their interactions throughout the entire body.
